Beginner Wheel Throwing Classes 

The classes listed below include clay, glazing and firing costs.  The classes are fully equipped with electric pottery wheels, tools and shelving.  Each student will have access to their own wheel at each class.  We utilize two electric kilns for bisque firing and a propane fired kiln for glaze firing. 

 

Class content shall include training on wedging clay, centering clay on the wheels, pulling, trimming pots and use of the studio accessories.  Demonstrations and personal instruction included in each session.

 

Class size limited to 8 students to insure concentrate instruction for each student.  Registration and prepayment is required prior to first class. 

 

Regular Class Schedule

One (2) two hour class per week for 4 weeks., 8 hours of total instruction.  Class price is  $225, and  includes instruction, clay, glazes, firing, and finished pieces to enjoy for a lifetime.   

Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm or Saturday mornings 9am to 11am.  No make-up classes will be offered if student is unable to attend a scheduled class.

A Special One Time Class or Group Event

A one time 2 hour introduction to throwing in a group setting.  6 to 10 students.  $40 per student.  There is no finished product in this class; it is only introduction and fun event. 

 

Girl Scouts, Birthday Party, School group, Team building events, family and friends, girls night out, etc.
